What started as a bedroom remodel in this 1980s house, turned into a beautiful full-interior renovation in a Northwest Modern style . The house is full of long, linear features and we loved the challenge of building in this minimal style.
The porch roof was one of the signature exterior elements of the redesign. As such, we took particular care with the finishes. The supports were powder-coated. This process is more labor intensive, but gives a superior look, particularly as it holds up much better as it ages.
Beautiful alder wood is used throughout, including the custom built-in furniture.
This custom tub is poured concrete with embedded heating so the water doesn’t immediately cool down. The windows can be “frosted” electroncially.
